176449-02 is 3500/42M Proximitor Seismic Monitor. As a main module, 176449-02 require 1 full-height front slot to install in the 3500 rack.
The 3500/42M Proximitor Seismic Monitor is a four-channel monitor that accepts input from proximity and seismic transducers. It conditions the signal to provide vibration and position measurements and compares the conditioned signals with user-programmable alarms.

You can program each channel using the 3500 Rack Configuration Software to monitor and report:
Radial vibration
REBAM
Thrust position
Acceleration
Differential expansion
Shaft absolute
Eccentricity l
Circular acceptance region
Velocity

The 3500/42M provides individual 4 to 20 mA proportional outputs for each channel. The 3500/40M does NOT provide 4 to 20 mA outputs.
