Analog input boards function, in general, as follows:
The boards are provided with a number of channels. Interference suppression, filtration andadaptation of the signal with respect to zero point and gain are performed individually in abuffer amplifier. The A/D converter is multiplexed between the input channels. An inputchannel is selected by the controller software by writing to a parameter register, which alsostarts the A/D conversion. The value, converted to digital form, is then transferred via the parallel databus to the controller software for further signal processing.
Because of certain functional differences between signal processing of standard current/voltagesignals and signal processing of special temperature measurements, these two board groups aredescribed in individual sections, The boards and the connection units can be combined as shownin the tables below.
DSAl 146 is functionally compatible with DSAl 145 in connection with the connection unitDSTA 145. DSAl 146 has, however, an on-board reference resistor for zero point adjustment,i.e. the reference resistor on the connection unit will not be used.
Two types of boards with temperature measurement using resistance thermometers (Pt 100):
DSAl145 or DSAI146, which is intended for three-wire connections
DSAl151, whichis intended forfour-wir connections.
Use the DSAl 155 for temperature measurement using thermocouplesThe DSAl 145/146, has 31 measurement channels and one permanentlyconnected reference channel for automatic calibration of the board.The connection unit DSTA 145, used together with DSAl 145/146, has 3l channels fortemperature measurement.
