Description:
Module 87TS01 is a coupling module for connecting comput-ers or external systems to the PROCONTROL system.
For this purpose, the module is equipped with a serial interfacetype RS232c or RS422 through which a process operatorstation POS, a programming, diagnosis and display systemPDDS,control diagnosis station CDS or another computer cancommunicate with the PROCONTROL system.
The module's scope of action extends over the entire PROCONTROL system.
The application of the various module versions is described inthe relevant application descriptions.

Features:

The module can be used in any station belonging to the PROCONTROL bus system using a redundant 24 V modulesupply (starting with 89MS01/R0200 or 89MS02/R0100). It isequipped with a standard interface for the PROCONTROLstation bus.
This module requires 2 divisions for mounting space. lt can beplugged into subrack slots with address wiring 1 through 58for the station bus.
The module uses a standard interface for participating in data communication within the PROCONTROL system.
The telegrams received from the station bus are checked for error-free transmission.
Using a serial RS 232c interface,the module is capable of receiving instructions and data coming from a computer in accordance with a defined protocol, as well as transferring instructions and data to a computer.
